A Syarie lawyer (also written as Peguam Syarie) is a lawyer who is qualified to appear and represent clients in the Syariah Courts in Malaysia. Syariah Courts have jurisdiction over personal and family law matters involving Muslims including marriage, divorce, maintenance, custody, inheritance, and religious offences. Syarie lawyers are separately qualified under State Islamic law enactments and are distinct from civil court lawyers. Our team includes a qualified Syarie lawyer to advise and represent Muslim clients in Syariah Court matters.
